Living in God's Story
In our journey of faith, we are reminded that we often find evidence for the stories we choose to believe. This week, the focus is on living within God's story—a story of renewal, empowerment, and joy through the Holy Spirit. Our primary scriptural anchoring is from Luke 24:46-53 and Acts 1:4-8. In these verses, we see Jesus preparing His disciples for the coming of the Holy Spirit, emphasizing their role as witnesses to His message of salvation. Witnessing doesn't require eloquence or expertise; it requires us to share what we've seen and heard of God's work in our lives. As we engage in community outreach this week, we are called to trust in God's plan, which includes no 'benchwarmers'—everyone is a valuable part of God's mission. By believing in the promise of the Holy Spirit's power, we open ourselves to divine guidance and strength. This week, let's live out a story where God is actively seeking and saving, where we are filled with joy, and where every task, whether organizing events or simply being present, is infused with spiritual purpose.
